ITU annually releases an annual/activity report which contains several statistics, financial standing, administrative works and relevant activities regarding distributed scholars and women students as well as measures for disabled and low-income students. ITU founded a Disabled Students Unit to take measures for disabled students and this unit has a web page open to the public. For LGBT individuals, there is a committee named ITU Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Club.
ITU as a body has the intention of having a barrier-free campus. For this reason, access of disabled students to the campus and faculties have been enhanced. ITU had Barrier-Free University award from Council of Higher Education in Turkey (YÖK).
