ITU has different projects on conservation of water on and off campus. These projects are conducted by different group of scientists with only one goal. Conscious water usage and Water Conservation in different areas such as; studies on Arctic, Antarctic, Ocean and Marine Sciences, sustainable building projects and other educational projects.

ITU as a body has Technology and Transfer Office (TTO) which supports the projects on and off campus. The project for the Development of Turkey-Specific Hydrological, Water Quality and Ecological Modeling Tools for Sustainable Management of Water Resources was carried out by ITU faculty members with the collaboration of TTO.
